Jeremiah/Lamentations Learner Guide: Books of Faith

We encounter many voices in the pages of these books: the prophet Jeremiah, sundry kings, Jeremiah’s enemies, and a people at first defiant and later in excruciating torment. In addition, we hear the voice of God speaking through Jeremiah and Jeremiah’s contemporaries. God, however, does not just speak “back there” and “then.” The living God speaks to us through the Bible, this book of faith. This study looks at how God is revealed to us as one who will not rest until we are at last a people whose hearts and minds are molded to the image and likeness of Jesus.
 
This eight-session course explores selected passages from Jeremiah and one from Lamentations.

 6. How Certain Is Our Future? (Jeremiah 31: 27-40)
 7. Can You Imagine a Different World? (Jeremiah 31:27-40)
 8. Will God Turn to Save Us? (Lamentations 3:1-39)
