Lynette L. Maynard

Lynette Maynard is presently the organist at Woodinville Community United Methodist Church in Woodinville, Washington, and a private piano, organ, and composition teacher. Since the age of 16, she has held numerous positions as organist throughout California, in the Denver area and Washington state. Lynette began her musical training at age seven and began composing by the age of ten. She received the Arion Music Award from Glendale College in 1969, was named Musician of the Year at Metropolitan State College in Denver in 1988. She has written two Rite II Masses for Christ' Episcopal Church in Castle Rock, Colorado as well as numerous vocal solos, lullabies, choral anthems, piano and organ originals and arrangements in addition to a Requiem Mass. She performs reqularly throughout the Seattle area and is a member of the Seattle Composers' Alliance. She is married with two adult children and three grandchildren, is very involved in her church and loves to read, antique, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
